Mid West Helicopters regularly undergo pest control operations to reduce numbers of hares, goats, pigs and deer.
Our Hughes 300 helicopter is perfect for this work. It is a light 2-seat helicopter with excess power available allowing for safe operating margins at higher altitudes. Being a small helicopter, the 300 is the most affordable option for aerial culling. The 300 comes equipped with a hook for recovery of the animal and we have a chiller freezer truck for onsite holding and delivery.
We have a Hughes 300 based in Wanganui, Taihape and Springfield, along with shooters, ready at a moments notice
Mid West also operate the Hughes 500 and AS350 helicopters, well recognised and used for aerial culling, and allows for 2 shooters to be carried safely on either side of the helicopter.
